What to Expect

  • Fascia (connective tissue) is the sensory highway of your body and is intricately involved in neuro-muscular dysfunction. The release of fascial adhesions and restrictions can help to restore kinaesthetic balance.

  • Trigger points are localised problem areas primarily found in muscle tissue that is involved in most chronic pain patterns in the body. Static pressure is applied until a palpable softening is felt by the practitioner.

  • Rehabilitative and sports training stretches are used to rehab weak areas, improve balance and facilitate better muscle function.

  • Often located in areas that produce the maximum stimulatory effect, the application of pressure to vital points is probably an age-old practice that has been refined over thousands of years of clinical trial and error within bodywork traditions.

‘‘Leila is so knowledgeable about the anatomy. She really understands my body and needs. Her massages are really bespoke to me, and I could ask her to focus on particular areas of back that were causing me pain and tension. Leila listens, gives me information about my body and works with expertise. I have been to many of her yoga classes too. I really look forward to them and come away feeling so refreshed. Again she brings so much knowledge of how the body works along with interesting techniques and the perfect calming pace.’’
